Collection: Saint Seraphim of Sarov
Saint Seraphim of Sarov (1754–1833) is one of the most beloved saints of the Orthodox Church, a great ascetic, mystic, and wonderworker of Russia. He spent decades in solitary prayer in the forests of Sarov, and his life radiated the uncreated light of the Holy Spirit. His famous conversation with Nicholas Motovilov on the acquisition of the Holy Spirit remains one of the most treasured texts of Orthodox spirituality. He was glorified in 1903 and his feast day is celebrated on January 2 and July 19. Our handcrafted collection honors his memory through Byzantine embroidered icons and devotional items, each made in our Ohio workshop using traditional techniques.
