Saint Timothy was a beloved companion and disciple of the Apostle Paul, chosen as bishop of Ephesus at a young age. Mentioned throughout the Pauline epistles, Timothy is celebrated for his sincere faith, pastoral devotion, and steadfastness in the face of persecution. He was martyred for his faith in Ephesus, where he boldly opposed pagan worship. His relics were later translated to Constantinople and venerated alongside those of the Apostle Paul.
