Saint Stefan Lazarević

Saint Stefan Lazarević (1377–1427) was the Despot of Serbia and son of the holy Prince Lazar, martyr of Kosovo. A statesman, warrior, and poet, he is venerated as a saint of the Serbian Orthodox Church for his piety, his defense of the Serbian people, and his devotion to the Church. He transformed Serbia into a center of culture and learning during his reign. His feast day is celebrated on July 19. Our handcrafted collection honors his memory through Byzantine embroidered icons and devotional items, each made in our Ohio workshop using traditional techniques.
