Saint Stefan Dečanski

Saint Stefan Dečanski, King of Serbia (1321–1331), is one of the most revered Serbian rulers. Known for his deep faith and endurance through suffering — including being blinded by his father and exiled to a monastery — he ruled with compassion and built the magnificent Visoki Dečani monastery in Kosovo, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Venerated as a saint in the Serbian Orthodox Church, his relics rest at Dečani and are known to be myrrh-streaming.
