Collection: Saint Simeon Stylites

Saint Simeon Stylites (390–459) was a Syrian ascetic who became one of the most remarkable figures in Christian history, spending 37 years atop a pillar near Aleppo in prayer, fasting, and preaching to the thousands who came to see him. His extraordinary asceticism drew pilgrims from across the Roman Empire and beyond, and he is venerated as a great wonderworker and intercessor. He is the first and most famous of the pillar-saints (stylites) of the Orthodox tradition. His feast day is celebrated on September 1. Our handcrafted collection honors his memory through Byzantine embroidered icons and devotional items, each made in our Ohio workshop using traditional techniques.
