Saint Silouan the Athonite

Saint Silouan the Athonite (1866–1938) was a Russian monk of Mount Athos whose spiritual writings have profoundly shaped modern Orthodox theology. Born a peasant in Russia, he entered the Monastery of Saint Panteleimon on Athos and spent decades in intense prayer and spiritual struggle. His teaching on love for enemies and keeping the mind in hell without despairing has become a cornerstone of contemporary Orthodox spirituality. He was glorified in 1987 and his feast day is celebrated on September 24. Our handcrafted collection honors his memory through Byzantine embroidered icons and devotional items, each made in our Ohio workshop using traditional techniques.
