Saint Sava

Saint Sava (1174–1236) is the most beloved saint of the Serbian Orthodox Church, founder of the autocephalous Serbian Church and its first Archbishop. Born a prince, he renounced his royal inheritance to become a monk on Mount Athos, where he co-founded the Hilandar Monastery with his father, Saint Simeon. He devoted his life to the spiritual and cultural formation of the Serbian people, establishing monasteries, schools, and the canonical order of the Serbian Church. His feast day is celebrated on January 14. Our handcrafted collection honors his memory through Byzantine embroidered icons and devotional items, each made in our Ohio workshop using traditional techniques.
